🛍️Authorised Vendors

As part of the physical gold redemption roadmap, Oro plans to work with authorised real-world gold vendors to facilitate secure and compliant settlement.

These vendors will act as the final delivery and verification layer, allowing users to convert onchain value into physical gold without interacting directly with informal or unverified markets.

Purpose of Authorised Vendors

Authorised vendors are intended to:

  • Provide verified, spot-priced physical gold

  • Handle storage, pickup, or delivery options where applicable

  • Ensure authenticity, weight, and purity standards

  • Operate within local regulatory frameworks

This structure allows Oro to focus on execution and capital routing, while physical settlement is handled by specialists.

Initial Region

The first planned region for authorised vendor support is Dubai (UAE), selected due to:

  • Its established gold market infrastructure

  • Global accessibility

  • Mature vendor ecosystem

Additional regions may be added over time as partnerships are finalised.

What to Expect

Vendor details will be published closer to launch and may vary by region. Expected characteristics include:

  • Transparent pricing linked to spot gold rates

  • Clear redemption limits and procedures

  • Optional KYC depending on jurisdiction and redemption size

Roadmap Status

  • Status: Planned / Not live

  • Initial rollout: Dubai

  • Expansion: Region by region

Authorised vendors are designed to make physical gold redemption straightforward and verifiable, without introducing additional risk or complexity into the core Oro Protocol.
