🟡Non KYC Limits

As part of the physical gold redemption roadmap, Oro intends to support limited physical gold conversion without mandatory KYC, subject to regional regulations and vendor policies.

Under the planned framework, users may be able to convert up to USD 10,000 worth of gold without completing full identity verification, where legally permitted. This threshold is indicative and may vary by jurisdiction, vendor, or regulatory changes.

Intended Scope

Non-KYC redemption is designed for small, occasional conversions rather than large-scale settlement. It exists to provide flexibility and accessibility, not to bypass legal or customs requirements.

Key points:

  • Redemption value capped at approximately $10,000

  • Availability depends on local laws and vendor compliance rules

  • Applies only to physical redemption, not onchain trading or protocol execution

Important Considerations

Users are solely responsible for understanding and complying with their local import and export laws when transporting physical gold across borders.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Customs declaration requirements

  • Import duties or taxes

  • Quantity and value limits imposed by the destination country

Oro does not provide legal, tax, or customs advice. The protocol and its partners facilitate redemption only at the point of sale. Any cross-border transport or declaration obligations remain the responsibility of the user.
