👁️Overview
Oro is building toward a simple idea: convert crypto into real gold, in real life.
Physical gold redemption is a planned feature on the Oro roadmap that allows participants to move from onchain value to physical gold without leaving the ecosystem. The goal is not to complicate the protocol, but to extend it beyond screens and wallets.
The initial rollout is planned for Dubai, chosen for its mature gold market, strong infrastructure, and global accessibility. From there, additional regions may be added as partnerships and regulatory alignment allow.
How It’s Intended to Work
Physical redemption is designed as an optional utility layer. The core trading algorithm, capital routing, and $ORO buyback mechanics remain unchanged.
In simple terms:
Users earn or hold value onchain
That value can be converted into physical gold
Gold is redeemed through authorised real-world vendors
No changes to how the protocol trades or generates profit.
What to Expect
Final details will be published closer to launch, but the intended structure includes:
Spot-priced gold redemption
Redemption through approved physical gold vendors
Defined limits for non-KYC redemption where permitted
Higher limits available through private KYC pathways
Roadmap Status
Status: Planned / Coming Later
Initial region: Dubai (UAE)
Expansion: Additional regions over time
Physical gold redemption is meant to be practical and optional. It exists for those who want to take onchain value and turn it into something tangible, without changing how Oro operates at its core.
